Ahoy, Tripventure is back again!

Tripventure is a yearly sailing event in the Mediterranean organized by Teekkaripurjehtijat. The event takes place in the turn of August-September. This year we are treating you with something that has never been seen before – Sicily, the most beautiful place in the Mediterranean! Coming up in 26 August – 2 September 2023.

Tripveneture is meant only for TRIP members. There are no prerequisites for the participants’ sailing skill level. 

2023 Tripventure Is Heading to Magnificent and Exotic Sicily!

This year popular Tripventure is departing from Portorosa marina in Northern Sicily. Sicily has airports in Catania and Palermo, of which Catania town is closer to the marina. Also the cheap airline Ryanair flies to Sicily to Trapani-Marsala airport. If you want to, you can also combine the sailing trip with your own travel plans before or after the event, and for example take a ferry from mainland Italy. 

By default Tripventure is a one-week event (26.8.-2.9.), but we are also investigating an option for a second week of sailing for those who are interested.

Price: 550-590€, reservation fee of 280€ has to be paid in two weeks from the sign-up. The rest will be paid in June.

Tripventure is meant for members of Teekkaripurjehtijat. If you are not a member yet, remember to sign-up for the membership here.

Sign-up for Tripventure 2023 will be opened on Wednesday 15th February at 20:00 on this page, members email list, and in Slack. Participants are confirmed in the order of signing up, and the amount of participants is again limited. Be fast!

Expenses

550-590€, of which a reservation fee 280€ is to be paid in two weeks of signing up. The price includes boat rent, bed sheets, final cleaning, and deposit insurance for the boat. It is at your expense and responsibility to organize the flights etc. to the destination.

Note: Signing up is binding. The reservation fee shall not be refunded unless a replacing participant is found.

Information about the Trip

The participant will carry all the risks regarding possible travel restrictions. If a participant decides or must for any reason (e.g. getting a coronavirus infection or other illness) cancel their participation to the sailing event, Teekkaripurjehtijat will not return the paid reservation fee or the final participation fee to the participant. As a participant, you can find another member to buy your place from you. Teekkaripurjehtijat also encourages the participants to get travel insurance. If Teekkaripurjehtijat decides, for a compelling reason (e.g. because of the epidemic situation), to cancel the whole sailing event, Teekkaripurjehtijat will return all the payments (reservation fees and participation fees) to participants, but is not responsible for any additional costs, such as cancellations of flights, accommodation costs etc. The trip shall be organized if the situation so permits.
